Our main goal is to help students develop their professional networking skills while also building a strong network both inside and outside of the LSE. Through working with Global MSc Management candidates, alumni, faculty, and industry professionals, our objective is to provide a forum of events, in which all can socialise, discuss, and debate the key issues that are driving the future of global business.
The GMS holds MiM Mixers, bi-weekly networking happy hours with Global MSc Management Students, Alumni, LSE Faculty, and Department Staff. Additionally, we organise social events around London that help students develop friendships beyond the classroom.
The GMS host guest speaking events and corporate skills sessions where students can meet with company representatives to gain industry-relevant skills, as well as educational trips and workshops outside London to provide skill-building and knowledge sharing opportunities for our members.
GMS members are encouraged and buoyed by the society to partake and engage in philanthropic and charity events and community engagement, in both London and worldwide.
Originally from Toronto, I completed my undergraduate degree in International Relations from the University of St Andrews back in 2017. Now, I am a second-year student in the Global MSc in Management programme here at the LSE. Outside of the GMS, I am a project leader for a FinTech consulting project and I enjoy skiing, running and traveling. It is my goal to travel and explore one new continent before my graduation from the LSE in 2019.
As GMS President, I strive to bring social, professional, and academic opportunities to postgraduate management students at the LSE.
Singaporean by birth and Indonesian-Malaysian by blood. I’ve lived in 5 countries, finishing my undergraduate degree at UCL in Planning and Real Estate. I am currently enrolled in the Global Masters in Management programme at LSE and am the VP of the Graduate Management Society and LSE Emerging Market Forum Speakers Director. To my friends, I’m known as the “Food Guru” so seeking new, trendy and intricate restaurants is my niche.
As Vice President, I am committed to giving back to our members in innovative ways, presenting opportunities within the professional and social settings. It is not only about developing better networking opportunities but the ability to provide lasting memories.
In alignment with our goals to connect current students, alumni, and industry, the GMS continually looks for new ways to engage the London and global communities. We anticipate a very busy and rewarding year and are always happy to discuss ways to involve other organizations. If your organization is interested in learning more about potential partnering and sponsorship opportunities, please contact either Kaitlyn Salter or Stephanie Tugiono for any queries or additional information.
